Why I love using my weighted vest and what I use it for.

When I unwrapped the ApexUp 20lb weighted vest on Christmas morning, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But once I tried it on, I realized this thing is a total game-changer. It’s surprisingly comfortable, with adjustable straps that keep it snug during workouts. The weight is evenly distributed, so it doesn’t feel awkward or unbalanced, even when I’m moving around. Using the vest during workouts has taken my training to another level. Push-ups feel like a whole new challenge; every rep forces me to engage my core and arms even more. Sit-ups with the vest are no joke either—it really makes you focus on form and builds serious core strength. I even wear it during yoga sessions, and it adds an unexpected twist to balance poses and stretches. It’s tough, but it’s helping me build stability and control, which is huge for soccer. The real test, though, is during sprinting drills. Running with the vest is intense, but I can already tell it’s improving my speed and explosiveness. After a few sets of sprints, my legs feel like they’ve been through a battle—but in a good way. I also like wearing it during agility drills, like cone weaving or ladder exercises. It forces me to stay light on my feet, even with the added weight. What I love most about the vest is that it makes every workout feel like it’s building me up for something bigger. Whether I’m on the field, at the gym, or just training at home, it reminds me to push harder and stay committed. My dad really nailed it with this gift—it’s not just gear, it’s a tool that’s helping me become a better, stronger player.
